‘The restrictive economic provisions in Constitution’ (Conclusion)In closing, I have listened intently to what some members of the Senate said in connection with the issue of amending the restrictive provisions of the Constitution. There are skeptical commentaries on the need to amend the restrictive economic provisions in the Constitution expressed by some senators. If they understood that this constitutional change on the economic provisions would uplift their lives and that of their children especially, they would embrace these changes gladly. Constitutional amendments of the “restrictive economic provisions” will definitely change the equation in the future once we all see its positive impact on development prospects for our country. Finally, with respect to #(4), I do not agree with this statement that we have done enough in improving our policies as far as the restrictive economic provisions in the constitution.

Losing your phone in 2024Mobile devices are an integral part of our lives today. What can you do to prevent damages in case you fall victim to a pickpocket or lose your phone? But with the government’s initiative to combat text and phone scammers, they launched RA 11934 or the SIM Registration Act. In our case, we opted to upgrade our pre-existing pre-paid sim card to a post-paid one, to immediately have it replaced. In some cases, your spouse may help in contacting the bank on your behalf to help lock online access and prevent online transactions from going through.

MUNICH: China's foreign minister told a gathering of international security policy officials on Saturday that trying to shut China out of trade in the name of avoiding dependency would be a historic mistake. Wang Yi spoke at the Munich Security Conference. Host Germany wants to avoid over-reliance on trade with an increasingly assertive China and diversify its supply of key goods in an approach it calls "de-risking." "Those who attempt to shut China out in the name of de-risking will make a historical mistake." He complained of "fabricated information from different parties" and asserted that the aim is "to stop the development of China."

Prabowo Subianto used to run polarising presidential campaigns that demonised his opponents and projected a bombastic, nationalistic persona. At one rally in 2014, the former general arrived by helicopter and inspected a red beret-wearing honour guard from horseback. But now Prabowo, 72, appears to have won Indonesia's presidency by adopting a more grandfatherly image, dancing and blowing kisses to adoring crowds.

MANILA, Philippines — A coalition of climate advocates has called on the government to declare a state of climate emergency in Mindanao as floods, landslides and drought affect communities in the country’s south. “A declaration of climate emergency is the first step towards acknowledging the urgency of the climate crisis and placing front and center the people during the climate crisis,” the Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ) said. Groups have been asking the national government to declare a climate emergency in the Philippines, one of the nations most vulnerable to climate impacts. The provincial government of Albay, as well as major cities such as Quezon City and Makati City, previously declared a state of climate emergency. ‘Destructive activities worsen climate impacts’PMCJ also called for tighter regulations on mining operations and probe mining operations in Brgy.
