TL;DR Members of Innersloth say Fortnite’s “Impostors” mode is almost a direct copy of Among Us. A new, temporary “Impostors” mode in Epic Games’ Fortnite is causing frustration among the developers of Among Us, Innersloth, who argue that it’s an uninventive copy of their own social deduction game. 😕Programmer Gary Porter accused Epic of copying Among Us’ most famous map, Skeld, simply flipping around a few elements to make it different. Innersloth co-founder Marcus Bromander echoed Tran by suggesting that Epic should’ve “put 10% more effort” into its spin on the gameplay model. Is it fair to copy a game to this level or was Epic out of line?

IFC’s new upstream initiative, the Global Digital Health Platform (DigiHealth), will begin in Sri Lanka with the aim to create a platform to partner with healthcare organisations to develop, implement, and finance their digital transformation strategies. In Sri Lanka, the platform will help Hemas scale up its overall services, boost efficiency, and accelerate its digital transformation strategy across its portfolio of health companies. This partnership with IFC is a validation of our ongoing efforts to digitalise and optimise delivery of healthcare services across Sri Lanka. Easy access to quality healthcare services has become increasingly important in a post-Covid world, especially for vulnerable communities. Prior to the Covid-19 outbreak, basic early stage digital health systems across the globe, as estimated by Grand View Research, were set to grow from $ 95 billion in 2018 to $ 509 billion by 2025.

But to what extent do providers stick to this commitment of really giving the best of the best, especially in the pre-paid industry? A recent topic of discussion amongst pre-paid users in Sri Lanka is the strategic segregation and pricing of reloads, with the revelation of deliberately leading customers into a vicious “reload trap”. Many local providers are offering monetary, data and other stipulated reload packages at attractive prices – but that’s all they really are, attractively priced. This trend has resulted in over three million reload cards being purchased a day, totalling a colossal 90 million a month. Airtel to Airtel calls are unlimited throughout the validity of these packages, and a number of free minutes are allocated for Airtel to other networks.

General Sir Nick Carter faced a backlash today over positive comments he made about the Taliban during TV interviews. Mr Biden and his officials have in turn said their hands were tied by a deal struck with the Taliban by Mr Trump. Former Treasury minister Huw Merriman, chairman of the Commons transport committee, called Mr Biden a 'total blithering idiot' for blaming Afghan forces. Mr Biden is seen as most to blame for the Taliban's victory, just ahead of Donald Trump. Almost half (49 per cent) say their view of Mr Biden (pictured on August 12) has worsened.

The plan for booster shots isn’t confirmed yetThe statement only announces an intention, though. (They did recommend an extra dose for immunocompromised people, to be given four weeks after the second dose.) ... To date, the evidence remains limited and inconclusive on any widespread need for booster doses following a primary vaccination series. For a certain segment of Star Wars fans—a segment of which I am not a part, though I have been cramming my head full of information about the franchise since roughly 1985—nothing is more important than arguing over what’s part of the canon. Some fans who had been following the galaxy far, far away across comics and books and video games for several decades were not happy;others embraced the new stories told by the more recent films and novels;some just liked to argue. In short, Star Wars fans are rarely happy, which is why I think more of them should take my approach to the canon: If I like it, it’s part of the canon. This helpful system means I don’t need to care that The Rise of Skywalker sucks (though it does), because it isn’t part of the canon. And judged by this rubric, Star Wars: Visions, an officially non-canonical series of anime shorts inspired by the sci-fi saga that premieres on Disney Plus on Sept. 22, is definitely canon.
