Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Mines Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy said that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government would reopen the defunct cooperative sugar factory and Vijaya Dairy in Chittoor city soon. Thousands of people from all over the western mandals thronged Punganur and greeted him with garlands and shawls. The reopening of the Chittoor Sugars and dairy unit would herald a new wave of development in the region. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy would give a corruption-free government to the people. Referring to the appointment of volunteers, Mr. Reddy said the scheme would give employment to lakhs of youth, and they would help all eligible families to utilise the government schemes.
