Pratap Reddy, was busy with his marriage while Y. Srinivasa Rao, an assistant sub-inspector attached to Chirala was on a visit to Malaysia. Both got their transfers while on vacation, thanks to a hassle-free online system introduced in Prakasam district. Earlier, those expecting transfers used to personally visit the district headquarters and anxiously wait for hours for completion of the process. Other police personnel were called to the offices of the five Deputy Superintendents of Police, where vacancy details as also service details of the police personnel were displayed online. Transfer orders were issued on the spot after counselling to 286 constables, 71 head constables and 23 assistant sub-inspectors online.
