‘It won’t take much rain to cause flooding,’ Met Éireann warns as 18 counties remain on alert

Unsettled weather ahead but milder temperatures and respite for the east on the wayMet Éireann meteorologist Rebecca Cantwell said it's "not looking likely" that the weather warnings will be upgraded further. "So it's going to be the wind and the rain today along the east and so the compound effect of that," she said. Ms Cantwell said the east coast will be hit the most by the unsettled weather, adding that it's "not going to be a great day". But that warning out until 11pm just to account for all that rain that's going fall," she said. We're going to see much milder temperatures at average or the highest temperatures for the weekend will be between 10 and 13C.
