‘Mislatel may get permit, frequencies this month’home/Business/Top Business/‘Mislatel may get permit, frequencies this month’THE third major telecommunications player chosen by the government may finally secure a few weeks from now the certificate and frequencies needed to begin operations, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said on Sunday. Once that is done, Mislatel would get frequencies in the 700 and 2100 megahertz, and 2.5, 3.3 and 3.5 gigahertz bands. Rio reiterated that Mislatel has started working on its network infrastructure, including the deployment of common towers. According to the DICT chief, Mislatel may start offering its services in urban areas, particularly Manila, Davao and Cebu. Spending for the five-year period would reach P257 billion, Mislatel said earlier.
