(Look) NAIA commemorates Ninoy Aquino on 33rd death anniversaryThe Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) held a program to commemorate the death of its namesake, Benigno Simeon ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr, reported DZMM TeleRadyo. It has been over three decades since the assasination of Ninoy at the then Manila International Airport on August 21, 1983. The airport was eventually renamed as a tribute to his leadership, especially his contribution in the dark hours of the Martial Law. A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the departure area of NAIA terminal 1 this morning.
