Hundreds of anime and comics enthusiasts – some of them in costume – were queuing outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai as early as last night as they waited to be admitted to an annual anime fair on Friday. The five-day Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong event – which features exhibitions not only of anime, but also comics, cosplay, toys, games and esports – is bustling with shopping anime and comics fans this afternoon. An exhibitor selling collectible toy cars said today - the first day of this year’s event, attracted more visitors than on the first day of previous ones. Fans who have bought non-fungible token tickets to this year's event will enjoy special access. Voting begins today and the winner will be announced Sunday.
