The victim Sifat Ahmed, son of Abu Bakar, lived with his family in a rented house at Keoa Pashchimkhanda area of Sreepur municipality, confirmed Sreepur police station Officer-in-Charge (Operation) Golam Sarwar. As he wanted the smartphone Sifat was holding, he took Sifat to Dagarchala where he used the smartphone to repeatedly hit Sifat on the head killing the child on the spot, said police quoting the accused.
