The deceased are Saiful Islam, 22 and Masudul Islam. According to the police, the incident happened at OWW shipbreaking yard at Kumira area under Sitakunda upazila around 6:20pm on Saturday. Shamim Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sitakunda police station, told Dhaka Tribune that the two workers fell sick after inhaling toxic gas. “They later died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital around 9:20pm,” the OC added.
