The victims were identified as Nurul Islam, 28, a salesman of ACI Company, and his colleague Rakib, 27. Both of them were residents of Dhaka. The accident took place on the railway line around 12:45pm, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka Railway police station Rakib Ul Hossain confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. According to sources, the deceased were trying to cross the rail track when at one point they accidentally got stuck under a train’s engine and died on the spot. Being informed, Dhaka Railway Police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, and sent them to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.
