Crime & Punishment of Tuesday, 31 March 2026Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Ashanti South Regional Police Command has intensified its fight against armed robbery after dismantling 2 robbery gangs in Krofrom and Mampong near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. “In their preliminary interrogation, the suspect, Mounir Ali, confessed to having been involved in a number of robberies,” DCOP Nyaaba stated. DCOP Nyaaba said the police have commenced investigations into both cases. We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of residents across the Ashanti South Region,” DCOP Nyaaba stated. “We have declared war on armed robbery and other violent crimes, and we will not rest until all criminals are brought to justice,” DCOP Nyaaba added.
