Police in Bungoma have arrested three people for allegedly offering fake Kenya Defence Forces calling letters to youths. The stranger later invited them to Kimilili town and issued them with KDF calling letters to report to the recruit training school in Eldoret. The suspect instructed the two youths to bring Sh300,000 to secure a chance in KDF. Upon a search of the vehicle, documents including five KDF calling letters, six fingerprint forms, two stamp pads, one military boot, five KDF joining application forms and two Kenya national identity cards were found. Police said they were placed in custody at Cheptais police station and the motor vehicle detained.
