35 killed as fire breaks out in Delhi factory


(Representational image: Shutterstock)At least 35 people were killed after a massive fire broke out in a factory in Anaj Mandi area on Rani Jhansi Road on Sunday morning. As many as 59 people were inside the factory when the blaze broke out. According to a man whose nephews were working at the factory, "At least 12-15 machines were installed in the unit. Many people trapped inside were rescued and rushed to RML Hospital, LNJP and Hindu Rao Hospital. Thirty four people were brought dead to LNJP hospital and smoke inhalation was the primary cause of the death, Dr Kishore Singh, Medical Superintendent, LNJP, said.
