5 Seconds of Summer star Michael Clifford has issued a grovelling apology on Twitter. The guitarist, 24, apologised for offensive tweets in 2012 and he denied sex assault allegations which were swirling on social media. In a stream of foul-mouthed tweets, the musician said sorry to his fans for what he had said in the past. I am a different person now with a much better understanding of the world. Michael rocketed to fame as part of Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer which formed in 2011.
