800 trainees report for National Service Training today


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 10,000 notices were issued to youths born in 1997, 1998 and 1999 to enrol in the National Service Training Programme (PLKN) 2.0. The National Service Training Department (JLKN), in statement today, said that the first and mandatory phase of the PLKN 2.0 programme which last for about eight weeks, has started today and will run until September 13. Over 800 trainees are expected to gather to report to their respective camps. JLKN also said that there were 70 gathering centres set up nationwide for two days beginning today for the movement the trainees to the selected camps. To ensure a smooth process for the movement of the trainees to their respective camps, several agencies including the National Service Volunteer Brigade (BSKN), the police and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) will be involved in the process.
