ABUAD provost faults Osun education policy


Femi Makinde, OsogboThe Provost, College of Social and Management Science, Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Prof. Adeolu Durotoye, has described the large sum of money borrowed by the Osun State Government to build new primary and secondary schools as a waste of resources. Durotoye, who is a governorship aspirant in Osun said this in an interview with our correspondent in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday. According to him, the state will have saved N30bn if the governor had opted for repair instead of demolishing many schools and building new structures there. He said, “ With N30bn, the state government would have paid all the outstanding salaries of teachers and provide instructional materials to make teaching easier for the teachers. Osun State is now occupying 29 out of 36 states.
