In New York, abortion is legal and protected; voters enshrined the right to abortion in the state’s constitution in 2024. The closure was “a big blow,” said Chelsea Williams-Diggs, executive director of the New York Abortion Access Fund. “That has direct impacts on abortion access and on abortion funds,” Williams-Diggs said.
