About a million children affected after southern Africa cyclone, UNICEF estimates

UNICEF is estimating about a million children are affected by a cyclone that struck southern Africa 10 days ago, destroying homes and flooding areas of Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi. Aid workers transport relief supplies delivered to the airport in Beira, Mozambique by the UN's World Food Program on Sunday. Mozambique on Sunday recorded more deaths from Cyclone Idai, which caused flooding in the three countries and left thousands in camps after homes were destroyed. Mozambique's Land and Environment Minister Celso Correia told journalists that the death toll had risen to 446 from 417, adding that 531,000 people had been affected by the disaster and 110,000 were in camps. The death toll from the cyclone has risen to over 750 in all three countries affected.
