A total of 286 players from 17 countries including 20 GMs, three Women’s GMs, 28 International Masters and four Women’s IMs participated in the eventMohammad Abzid Rahman of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society became 82nd with six points out of 10 games in the 11th Chennai International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament in Chennai, India. Mohammad Masum Rahi of Golden Sporting Club finished 242nd with 3.5 points and Ali Ahsan Jewel emerged 277th with two points Friday. In the last round, Abzid lost to GM Manik Mikulas of Slovakia, Rahi drew with Krishna Kalyanasundaram of India and Jewel got a bye.
