Action should be taken against those who deliberately create fake accounts on social media networks, along with those who deliberately publish misleading news that are detrimental to the country, the people and national unity through various methods on social media networks, Cabinet Spokesman and Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella stated today (08). He made these statements in response to a question from a journalist at a media briefing held at the Government Information Department. The Minister added that a Cabinet Memorandum had been tabled in this regard a few weeks ago and it had been approved. He further stated that he believes that this action will protect the journalists who present authentic facts.
