The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) is seeking to leverage Egyptian expertise to bolster governance and institutional reform across the continent, Executive Director Marie-Antoinette said on Sunday. She noted that the APRM aims to benefit from Egypt’s experience in supporting the mechanism’s programmes and initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals and solidify governance in African nations. Abdelatty highlighted Egypt’s commitment to supporting the APRM in enhancing institutional reform paths, empowering women and youth, and improving living standards. The Foreign Minister reviewed Egypt’s own experience with the national review process, praising the APRM’s role in promoting principles of good governance. Marie-Antoinette commended Egypt’s active role and its successful implementation of the national review process, looking forward to enhanced collaboration in the upcoming phase.
