DHAKA, Dec 21, 2025 (BSS) - Wicketkeeper-batter Akbar Ali is hopeful aboutproving his credentials as a pure batter in the upcoming Bangladesh PremierLeague (BPL) T20 tournament, should he secure a spot in the star-studdedRajshahi Warriors squad. Traditionally a wicketkeeper-batter, Akbar will have a slightly differentrole this season. The team management has entrusted veteran Mushfiqur Rahimwith the wicketkeeping duties, allowing Akbar to focus purely on his batting. Akbar is now eager to carry that form into the BPL to strengthen his case fora national team call-up. Hopefully, if Iearn a spot in the Rajshahi team, I'll have a good BPL."
