CAIRO-29 April 2021: Egyptian Cup title-holders Al Ittihad of the will face Al Ahly on Thursday night in the Egyptian Basketball Cup final at Youth and Sports Hall. The Red Devils will be hoping to avoid deja-vu as they will be facing Al Ittihad in a repeat of last season's final, which ended with a victory for Al Ittihad. Al Ittihad secured their spot in the final after defeating Alexandria Sporting Club (ASC) while Al Ahly progressed to the final with a victory over arch-rivals Zamalek. It is worth mentioning that the two teams will also face each other in the semi-finals of the Egyptian League and the winner will face the winner between Zamalek and Gezira. Al Ittihad, who finished the regular season atop of the table, and Gezira, who finished in the third place, booked their places in the semi-finals after Game 3 while Al Ahly and Zamalek waited till Game 4.
