Police confirmed yesterday that now in the 21st week of 2017 there have been 29 deaths compared to 26 in the same period last year. Operation Tatarovi III starts tomorrow with 130 Police officers and 30 LTA officers. “This operation involves a safe road environment by having vehicle inspections, conducting speed operations, spot checks, illegal operators to see how best we can curb traffic offenders,” SSP Mishra said. “If you enter the vehicles of the illegal operators, it would be at your own risk.”SSP Mishra confirmed that the Fijian Police recorded at least 2,000 accidents in a year.
