Alastair Stewart is stepping down as an ITV newsreader after a 40-year career following 'errors of judgement in social media use'. Mr Stewart and Mr Shapland are debating the financial relationship between the Crown and the taxpayer. In response another social media user says 'I love it when people are so indignantly misinformedMr Stewart responds by quoting Shakespeare. The ITV social media policy says: 'Do not do anything that might damage any ITV brand or ITV relationships (e.g. Mr Shapland, also refers the tweet exchange with Mr Stewart to Tell Mama UK, an organisation which monitors anti-Muslim attacks.
