This is aside from the tens of thousands of deaths attributed to vigilante-like killings and those perpetrated by unidentified assailants during the past two years. As for its internal cleansing, data also showed that a total of 296 personnel have already been dismissed from service for illegal drugs use while 142 others were uprooted due to other drug-related offenses. Albayalde expressed high hopes that the PNP would be able to continue its gains in their fight against illegal drugs, crime and corruption in 2019.
