Share TweetBy Betheena Kae UniteNine more firecracker-related injuries were reported Monday, hours before the srat of the new year, bringing the total number of injuries to 55. The total number of cases of firecrackers-related injuries reported from December 21 to December 31 this year, however, is 50 percent lower compared to the reported cases reported in the same period last year. Majority of the injuries sustained by the victims were due to firecracker blast which either took place in the streets or in their homes. Five of the victims sustained injuries that needed amputation.
