Although about 600-800 Covid-19 cases are reported daily in various parts of the country, all those infected with Covid are being treated at a treatment center with separate beds and facilities, said Dr. Anver Hamdani, Director of Medical Technical Services, Ministry of Health yesterday. Dr. Hamdani points out that the Special Unit established by the Secretary to the Ministry of Health is currently working to carry out this task in spite of all obstacles. “The Ministry has set up five treatment centers in the private sector for hotels and buildings. Further, there is a total of 11,443 beds in all treatment centers and that 6,000 Covid patients are being treated in all these treatment centers as of now. Medical facilities are provided by the Ministry of Health,” he said.
