The Study was the longest running (1932-72) non-therapeutic medical experiment in American history. Primetime Live, their 60 Minutes-like program, was going on the air within an hour with a story about the Tuskegee Study. And alas, knowledge about the complex history of Tuskegee as both a place and an African American educational institution in American history is lacking.
