NILAI: All reports against VVIPs for allegedly violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines are investigated, says Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed. Dismissing claims that police overlook infringements by VVIPs, he said 12 reports of such breaches were received since the movement control order was first enforced last year and all of them were investigated. "Some VVIPs were found to have breached the SOPs and were slapped with compounds which they subsequently paid. "We recorded a statement from the hotel management on the wedding on Tuesday night and will probe the matter further. Comm Huzir said the police would act accordingly if there was a clear violation of the SOPs.
