Hazrat Ali and his daughter Ayesha died on Saturday after being run over by a train at the Sreepur Railway Station, said Station Master Md Shahjahan Mia. Ali's wife Halima Begum, however, claimed he committed suicide with Ayesha after failing to get justice for their daughter's rape. She started a case with the railway police the next day. Police said they picked up on Md Shahidul Islam from the district's Sreepur Upazila at wee hours of WednesdayOn Monday, the National Human Rights Commission chief Kazi Reazul Hoque visited the site and said it was 'not an accident. 'Begum case, filed with Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Police, accuses seven persons, including the local Union Parishad (UP) member Abul Hossain.Hossain was arrested on Monday and produced before a Dhaka court, which granted police's remand plea.Islam, who was arrested on Wednesday, is also named in the case.Police said they were trying to detain the others.
