The Ansar and VDP members, who went on duty on Saturday, will be in the field until the third day of Eid. "The director general has posted us in the capital and neighbouring districts based on a demand from the home ministry. They are providing security to the passengers at Kamalapur Railway Station and Gabtoli, Syedabad and Mohakhali bus stations. The ASF will patrol their designated areas and work to prevent any kind of violent activities. Four ASF quick response teams or QRT will also be on standby to assist other agencies in any emergency.
