As soon as the Clare-Cork Munster SHC opening round robin game ended last year, I bolted out of Cusack Park to find a TV to watch Tipperary-Limerick in Thurles. I was hopeful of a good game but I wasn’t sure if we’d get one. Tipp had been well beaten by Cork in the league final and I wasn’t sure if that result had set Liam Cahill’s side back. I didn’t think Limerick was the best opening game for Tipp to have because Limerick had beaten them so often. And not just beaten Tipp, but hammered them.
