Two armed robbers were shot dead during a gunfight with the police in Sarail, Brahmanbaria. The deceased Bashar, 32 and his accomplice Entejar, 31, were members of a local armed robbery gang. He said around midnight the police received information that a gang of armed robbers were preparing for an attack in the Dhaka-Sylhet highway’s Shahbajpur area. Bashar and Entejar – two of the robbers – were taken along for the raid. During the operation, they were shot at by their own gang members when the police have discovered them.
