It's no secret to anyone who follows The Everything is Black and White Podcast, that I am not a fan of VAR. Those using the tool seem incapable of doing so to the level deserved, and every single weekend there seems to be another poor decision that leaves the majority bewildered at how it was made. That being said, the fallout after Newcastle United's one-nil win over Arsenal has stopped this VAR critic in his path. In this situation, VAR got it right, not that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will agree. As for the issues with getting the decision right, that problem will run and run with the main question for many, the lack of consistency.
