ISLAMABAD: Works of artist Natasha Malik – the soul breathes differently – featured at the Satrang Gallery and SerenArts, an initiative of the Serena Hotels which is dedicated to supporting and promoting the artists and artisans of Pakistan. Satrang Gallery Founder Director Asma Rashid Khan said that Natasha Malik’s current body of artworks was the next phase in her journey of exploration. In her early work, Natasha explored female identity and sexuality developed within the constraints of patriarchy. In her second solo show at the Satrang Art Gallery, the artist examines the practice of image-making through a deeper investigation of materiality, memory and the creative process leading up to the constructed surface. Her first solo show took place at Sanat Gallery in Karachi, 2016.
