BBC make major decision to ‘rest’ Top Gear after Freddie Flintoff crash

Top Gear will not return 'for the foreseeable future' following Freddie Flintoff's crash, the BBC have confirmed. Former England cricket captain Flintoff negotiated a £9million settlement and is still recovering from his injuries. In a statement, the BBC said: "Given the exceptional circumstances, the BBC has decided to rest the UK show for the foreseeable future. After the incident, Flintoff returned to the England cricket set up briefly as a coach in September. The famed BBC One show's recent 34th edition managed an average viewing of 4.5 million.
