BTCL to introduce triple-play, quad-play services in Bangladesh, says TaiyebBangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) is set to introduce triple-play and quad-play services in the country for the first time. In telecom marketing, triple-play refers to unlimited video, voice, and high-speed internet services, while quad-play adds wireless connectivity to the package. Taiyeb wrote that BTCL will provide unlimited voice calls through BTCL’s MVNO, mobile SIMs, and the BTCL Alap IP Phone service, subject to certain conditions. To expand access to 5G services, BTCL plans to sell FiG-enabled smartphones in instalments. “We want to remove obstacles caused by limited voice, limited data, limited content and device restrictions in people’s communication and entertainment,” he added.
