The biorefinery launch signaled NRL’s intent to balance traditional fuel production with lower-carbon alternatives. The new biorefinery processes bamboo feedstock into ethanol while also generating multiple co-products. NRL also indicated plans to derive green hydrogen from biomass residues, further extending the plant’s value chain.
