Bangabandhu’s birthday observed at Guwahati

For the first time ever, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s birthday has been observed at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Guwahati. To mark the occasion as National Children’s Day, the Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner in Guwahati Kazi Muntasir Murshed took special initiatives. Speaking to this scribe over the phone, Kazi Muntasir Murshed said, “We’ve invited 130 children in Assam who are passionate towards drawing but cannot fulfill it owing to lack of means. “Apart from this, we’ve invited Bangladeshi students in Assam and Meghalaya for participation in the Father of our Nation’s birth ceremony. We’ve essayed to impart knowledge about Bangabandhu’s life and works to our posterity and imbue patriotic feeling within them through an interaction,” Murshed further added.
