A year ago, coming off two straight trips to the post-season and with internal expectations of a third, the Jays were uncertain of a bullpen made up of mostly unproven relievers. Clearly nobody will confuse the Jays bullpen with the Yankees’ all-star collection, with closer Aroldis Chapman, former closer David Robertson, future closer Dellin Betances and dazzling support pieces like Tommy Kahnle and Adam Warren. The Jays have not placed all their eggs in one bullpen basket. His downside is lack of consistent command but, if used in the proper situations, he can add value to the Jays. The Jays bullpen is cheap, deep and talented and a key to any 2018 success.
