In the beginning, they actually had a great working relationship, because Ania, within months, had already proven business for her boss’s company. Moreover, as the culture goes, working in a great multi-national company in Dhaka comes with social prestige in the community. When I try to distinguish between the corporate CEO and the start-up CEO, the only difference in the culture code would be: I KNOW. Then there are members of the young generation like Ania, approaching work with a mind-set deeply soaked in entrepreneurship culture. Hence, the success of a CEO should be as a decision-maker; someone who can bet which ideas might go in favour.
