Both the European Union and the U.S. government say the presidential election in Belarus was flawed. Slain protester mournedA funeral was held Saturday for Alexander Taraikovsky, a 34-year-old protester who died Monday in Minsk under disputed circumstances. He also said the presidential election in Belarus fell short of democratic standards.
