Virtual reality (VR) startup Bigscreen revealed its first major hardware offering: the world’s smallest headset, the Bigscreen Beyond. Founded in 2014, Bigscreen launched its social VR platform allowing users to stream movies, play video games, and collaborate across PCs with friends and colleagues. Custom Comfort, Bigscreen BeyondCustomers pre-ordering the headset will receive a Bigscreen app invitation to 3D scan their faces via an Apple iPhone Xr or later. Darshan Shankar, Bigscreen Founder and Chief Executive, said in a statement,“As passionate VR enthusiasts, we built the VR headset we wanted for ourselves. Today’s leading VR headsets have doubled in weight compared to headsets from 2016.
