The Blue Jays won’t be serving beer in cans at the Rogers Centre for the rest of the post-season, after a can was thrown onto the field during the AL wild-card game against the Baltimore Orioles last week. In a statement released hours before the Jays hosted the Texas Rangers in Game 3 of the AL division series, the team says beer will be served in cups only throughout the stadium for the duration of the Jays’ playoff run. The change comes after a beer can thrown from the stands narrowly missed Orioles left fielder Hyun Soo Kim as he made a catch during the seventh inning of last Tuesday’s game.
