Monrovia – Jeremiah Whapoe, standard-bearer of Vision for Liberia Transformation (VOLT), says Vice President Joseph Boakai is the only presidential candidate who will “give birth to a new Liberia” if elected the next President. Dr. Whapo made the assertion in Monrovia when his party endorsed the Unity Party standard Bearer on Wednesday. VP Boakai is contesting the runoff presidential poll against opposition Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) lead by Senator George Weah. VOLT, a newly established political party, obtained 3,946 votes equating to 0.3% of the total votes of the October 10 election. Dr. Whapo said the Vice President’s “humanity and love for country” inspired VOLT endorsement of his candidacy.
