A body found on Fox Glacier may not be recovered for several days after poor weather conditions hindered police efforts. A tramper discovered the body in a crevasse on Fox Glacier in Westland Tai Poutini National Park about 10.30am on Thursday. IAN FULLER A body has been found in a crevasse on Fox Glacier, on the West Coast. Mackintosh said ice took about 30 to 50 years to travel from from the top to the bottom of Fox Glacier, whereas the ice in Tasman Glacier took "a couple of hundred years".
