The Libyan Red Crescent Society, Tripoli branch, announced on Saturday the recovery of a body, believed to be that of a migrant, from Al-Fanar beach. This followed a report from the Tajoura Security Directorate indicating the presence of a body on the beach in the Al-Fanar area. A body recovery team was dispatched to the location in the early morning hours, according to a statement issued by the Society. Despite the rugged terrain of the coastal area, the team commenced its field operations after obtaining permission from the relevant prosecutor. They successfully recovered the body according to established procedures and then handed it over to the Ambulance and Emergency Services to complete the necessary transfer procedures and take all required actions in accordance with applicable laws.
