HENLEY Hawks Women produced a powerful second-half display to turn a tight contest into a commanding 29-7 bonus-point victory at Sutton and Epsom in Championship South Division 1. The greasy ball and heavy ground made handling treacherous, with both sides struggling to keep hold as the contest opened at a ferocious pace. Nina Poletti quickly established herself as a dominant presence at the line-out, repeatedly claiming possession despite scrappy conditions. The scrum battle was equally combative with Henley driving Sutton backwards on more than one occasion, even if not always rewarded. Crucially, Henley secured a fourth try by Gen Moody to guarantee the bonus point, before closing out the match in composed fashion despite the unforgiving conditions underfoot.
